Instructions

Step 1
Salt the chuck roast generously on all sides. Allow it to come up to room temperature for about 20 minutes.
Step 2
Use a cast-iron pan. Sear the edges of the roast. You can use butter or beef tallow. Then, put the meat in the crockpot.
Step 3
Pour 1 cup of beef stock over the roast.
Step 4
Cook on low for 6-7 hours. If you are short on time, cook on high for about 4 hours.
Step 5
Turn off the crockpot. Let it rest for 30 minutes. Shred the meat and enjoy the carnivore chuck roast.
