Easy chicken pho recipe

Budget friendly chicken pho. This is not the traditional recipe but it does not disappoint! Quick, easy and delicious and that’s what matters. 😊

Instructions

Step 1
Add water and cleaned chicken to pot, then add onion, ginger, rock sugar, star anise and chicken pho seasoning.
Step 2
Let this come to a boil then cook on medium low heat for 1 hour. Remove the chicken and shred the meat from the bones. Taste the soup and adjust to your liking. Toss the bones back into the soup pot and let it simmer for another 10 minutes.
Step 3
Serve with macaroni or pho noodles and add your favorite condiments. I like to add cilantro, green onions, sliced onions, lime, pickled chilis, hoisin, sriracha, fried garlic and chili oil.
