Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Step 2
Put the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt into a bowl. Rub in the butter with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Step 3
Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the milk and quickly mix with a round-bladed table knife to a soft dough.
Step 4
Tip the mixture onto a floured bench and gently knead into a rectangle. Flatten mixture with a rolling pin to approximately 30cm x 20cm. (just bigger than the size of the paper).
Step 5
Spread the butter over the dough and then sprinkle over the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Step 6
Roll up the dough and seal the edge with a little water or left over butter,
Step 7
Cut the scones into 8 even sized pieces and place together on a tray.
Step 8
Bake for around 10 minutes or until golden.
