Instructions

Step 1
In a small bowl whisk together egg yolk, sourdough discard, milk and vanilla.
Step 2
In a medium size bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
Step 3
Pour sourdough mixture into the flour mixture and mix until well combined.
Step 4
Stir in melted butter.
Step 5
Let rest for 30 min at room temp.
Step 6
Heat your waffle iron. Pour on a heaping tablespoon of batter and let cook till golden brown. Repeat until you have no more batter.
Step 7
Enjoy right away or let cool for meal prep. I keep half in the fridge and half in the freezer. Just pop in the toaster when ready to use!
