Step 1
Preheat oven to 450° F

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and cheddar cheese.

Cut in shortening

Mix in milk just until incorporated; do not overmix.
Step 5
Flatten dough onto lightly floured surface until 3/4 inch to 1 inch thick. Cut into circles. OR drop by rounded spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Step 6
Bake 8-15 minutes, until golden brown.
