Step 1
1) Put your drumsticks in a large saucepan and cover with water.

2) Bring to the boil, then turn down the heat. Put a lid on the pan and simmer for two and a half hours, until the meat is falling off the bones.

3) Preheat the oven to 200°C/ fan 180°C.
Step 4
4) Remove from the pan, and flake all the meat from the bones, discarding the skin and bones.
Step 5
5) Spread the flaked meat out on a baking sheet or roasting tray and pour over the jar of sauce, toss it to coat the meat well.
Step 6
6) Put into the oven for about 30-40 minutes, turning occasionally, so the meat becomes crispy.
Step 7
7) Serve with pancakes, plum jam and cucumber cut into thin strips, or with rice or noodles and steamed pak choi.
