1 Heat oil in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Add mush-rooms, shallot, bacon, salt, and pepper and cook until mushrooms are lightly browned, 6 to 8 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook until fra-grant, about 30 seconds. Stir in beef, breaking up meat with wooden spoon, and cook until no longer pink, 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 2
2 Stir in water, tomato sauce, and spaghetti and bring to boil. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender, 15 to 17 minutes. Uncover and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until sauce is thickened slightly, about 1 minute.
Step 3
Serve with Parmesan.
