Instructions

Step 1
Warm up the oven: Put parchment paper on a baking pan and preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Step 2
Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a big bowl.
Step 3
Cream Sugar and Butter: In a separate bowl, beat sugar and softened butter until they are light and fluffy. Mix thoroughly after adding the vanilla extract.
Step 4
Incorporate Wet Ingredients: Slowly incorporate the milk, lemon juice, and lemon zest into the butter mixture. Mix until incorporated.
Step 5
Mix the Dry and Wet Ingredients: Stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gradually until a soft dough forms. Take care not to mix too much.
Step 6
To form the biscuits: Roll out the dough to a thickness of approximately 1/2 inch on a lightly floured board. Cut out biscuits with a glass or cookie cutter.
Step 7
Bake: After the baking sheet is ready, put the biscuits on it and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn brown.
Step 8
Before serving: Allow the biscuits to cool on a wire rack. Savour it with a cup of coffee or tea!
