For the cake
150 grDates
stones removed
1 tspbicarbonate soda
150mlwater
hot
60 grdark brown sugar
60 grbutter
room temperature
2eggs
room temperature
150 grself raising flour

For the cake
Step 1
Soak together on the water the dates and the bicarbonate. Blend when is cold.
Step 2
Apply "Homemade release cake mix" into a bunt/round cake tin. Preheat the oven to 160C

Step 3
Cream the sugar with the butter, add 1 egg and half of the flour while mixing on low speed, then add the other egg and the rest of the flour. Then add the blended dates.
Step 4
Pour into the tin and bake for 30 minutes.
For the sauce
Step 5
On a heavy bottom sauce pot, melt slowly the sugar
Step 6
Add the butter, then the cream
