Step 1
Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Cook the Chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or on a grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing or shredding.
Step 3
Cook the Bacon: While the chicken is cooking, cook the bacon until crispy. You can do this in the same skillet after removing the chicken (drain any excess grease) or bake it on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 12-15 minutes. Once cooked, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease. Crumble or roughly chop the bacon.
Step 4
Assemble the Sandwiches: Slice the sandwich rolls or bread in half. Spread about 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing on the top and bottom halves of each roll.
Step 5
Layer the Ingredients: On the bottom half of each roll, arrange the cooked and sliced or shredded chicken. Top with the crispy bacon.
