Ingredients

2 Tbspgochujang
Chung Jung One
2 Tbspsoy sauce
1 Tbsprice vinegar
Kong Yen
1 Tbspsesame oil
1 Tbspsugar
or honey/brown sugar
1 Tbsphoisin sauce
optional for extra sweetness and depth
2garlic cloves
grated or finely chopped
1 tspfresh ginger
grated, optional
1 Tbspwater
to loosen the marinade if needed
1 tspfish sauce
for a funkier depth
Instructions
Step 1
Mix the Marinade:

Combine everything in a bowl and whisk until smooth.
Step 3
Marinate the Chicken:
Step 4
Coat your chicken pieces in the marinade.
Step 5
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is even better).
Step 6
Braai It:

Braai over medium coals, turning occasionally.
Step 8
Baste with extra marinade as you go (keep some aside before marinating, to avoid raw chicken contamination).
Step 9
Grill until caramelised and slightly charred, juices running clear.
