Step 1
Directions:
In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter and sauté the vegetables. Sauté the leeks for two to three minutes, or until they are tender. Cook for an additional five minutes after adding the potatoes and carrots.

Thicken the Base:
Thoroughly mix the vegetables after adding the flour. To prevent lumps, add the broth gradually while stirring.
Step 3
Add the bay leaf:
White pepper, and a bit of salt to the soup and simmer it. Bring to a slow boil, then lower the heat and simmer until the potatoes are soft, 10 to 12 minutes.
Step 4
Add Salmon & Cream:
Carefully add the cubed salmon to the pot. Cook until the fish is opaque, about 4–5 minutes. Add half of the dill and heavy cream and stir.
Step 5
Lastly:
Take out the bay leaf. If necessary, change the seasoning. Garnish with fresh dill and serve hot.
