I make these to pour chili over when in the mood for chili cheese dogs. Extra cheese on top make it perfect!

Ingredients

1 cupcornmeal

2 ½ cupsflour

1 cupbrown sugar

4 tspbaking powder

8 ozcheddar cheese

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375.

Step 2

In large bowl, mix together dry ingredients (including powdered milk & eggs if using).

Step 3

Make a well in dry goods, pour in eggs and milk (or appropriate amount of water called for to make needed amounts) and mix together well.

Step 4

Divide batter evenly between prepared muffin tin cups. About 2/3 full each.

Step 5

Place 1 piece of hot dog in middle of each cup of batter cut ends down.

Step 6

Bake at 375 for about 8-12 minutes or until golden brown.

I made enough batter for 8 hot dogs. Except it was WAY more than enough batter for 24 muffins! lol. Anyway, I froze the leftover and used chili cheese dogs instead of regular hot dogs. Then I poured chili over them. YUM!
