Instructions

Step 1
Peel the potatoes (optional) and cut them into thick chips, about 1–1.5 cm wide.
Step 2
Place the cut chips into a bowl of cold water and let them soak for 10–15 minutes to remove excess starch.
Step 3
Drain the soaked chips and pat them dry thoroughly using a clean tea towel or kitchen paper. Removing moisture helps achieve crispiness.
Step 4
In a large bowl, toss the dried chips with the vegetable oil until evenly coated.
Step 5
Sprinkle with salt and any additional seasonings you prefer, mixing well to ensure even distribution.
Step 6
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for about 3 minutes.
Step 7
Place the chips in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook in batches.
Step 8
Cook for 10 minutes, then shake the basket to turn the chips.
Step 9
Continue cooking for another 10–15 minutes, shaking occasionally, until the chips are golden brown and crispy.
