Step 1
1. Drain two 28 oz cans of Bush’s baked beans and rough chop one 20 oz can of apple pie filling.

2. Brown and crumble one pound of breakfast sausage.
Step 3
3. Dice one white onion and one bell pepper.
Step 4
4. In a large bowl, combine the beans, apple pie filling, sausage, onion, bell pepper, one heaping cup of brown sugar, about a cup of Heath Riles BBQ Sweet BBQ sauce, a couple tablespoons of Bear & Burton's W sauce, Heath Riles BBQ Apple rub, and one to two tablespoons of Heath Riles BBQ Honey Chipotle rub.

5. Lightly oil a 14" cast iron skillet with a small amount of Crisco or your preferred oil.

6. Pour the mixture into the skillet and spread it out evenly.
Step 7
7. Place the skillet on a smoker or grill preheated to 300°F using Royal Oak Charcoal Pellets.
Step 8
8. Cook uncovered for about 2.5 hours, stirring occasionally, until thick and bubbly.
Step 9
9. Remove from the grill, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
