Pigs in Blankets (Sausages wrapped in streaky bacon)
8 steps
Prep:15minCook:40min
This is my take on the famous "Pigs in Blankets" - one of our most popular dishes in catering, amongst neighbours, family and friends.
I don't know what makes people addicted to these little sausages , but I have to make them for all the parties and events we host or go to...
Simple to make, but so impressive! Give it a go and let me know what you think.

Instructions
Step 1
Line 1 or 2 baking trays with baking paper. Turn the oven on at 200*C (fan bake).
Step 2
Dry bacon on some paper towel to make sure it's dry.
Step 3
On a chopping board lay a strip of bacon and stretch out gently with the blade of a knife, to make it thinner.
Step 4
Take 1 sausage and place it at one end of the bacon strip, at an angle and the roll the bacon around it (make sure it's tight) in a spiral shape. Trim excess bacon from the end, if required. Place it on the tray and carry on with the remaining bacon and sausages.
Step 5
Drizzle some oil over the sausages and then sprinkle them with paprika and thyme.
Step 6
Throw a few garlic cloves (squashed) into the tray and put it in the oven for around 35-40 minutes or until brown and crispy.
Step 7
Remove them with tongs onto a plate lined with paper towel.
Step 8

Serve them on their own with ketchup & pickles (as finger food) or as a meal with any type of potatoes or salad.
