Italian Bread - Bread Maker Machine

What You Need (for a 1.5 lb loaf): 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 tbsp corn starch (optional – helps with tenderness) 1 tbsp sugar (balances flavors) 1 tsp salt 1 tbsp Italian seasoning 1 tsp garlic powder (optional but highly recommended) 2 tbsp olive oil (adds richness) 1 cup + 2 tbsp warm water (around 105–110°F / 40–43°C) 2¼ tsp instant bread yeast (1 packet) --- 🥣 Instructions (Use Your Bread Maker): 1. Add to bread pan in this order (unless your machine says otherwise): Warm water Olive oil Sugar and salt Flour Cornstarch Italian seasoning and garlic powder Make a small well in the top of the flour and add the yeast (keeps it dry until mixing starts) 2. Select your bread machine settings: Program: Basic/White or French Crust: Medium or dark (for a crunchier, more flavorful crust) Loaf size: 1.5 lb 3. Start the machine and let it do its magic! --- 🔧 Optional Add-Ins for Extra Flavor: ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (adds savory depth — great if you have it) 2 tbsp chopped sun-dried tomatoes (oil-packed, blotted dry) 1 tsp onion powder or minced dried onions --- 💡 Pro Tips: Want a "wheatier" taste without wheat flour? Add 1 tbsp molasses or 1 tbsp ground flaxseed if you have it. No Italian seasoning? Use a mix of dried basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, and a pinch of red pepper flakes.
