Instructions
Step 1
In a large skillet melt the butter and sauté the chopped onion and garlic until soft.
Step 2
Slowly pour in the vegetable broth and heavy cream. I like to microwave the heavy cream for about 15-20 seconds to take the chill off first.
Step 3
Season the sauce with salt, pepper, garlic powder and (Slap ya Mama) Cajun seasoning.
Step 4
Stir the seasoning into the sauce and let it simmer on low for about 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
Step 5
Stir in the parmesan cheese.
Step 6
Add the fresh parsley and cream cheese and whisk it into the sauce until it melts into it.
Step 7
Taste and re season the sauce (if needed) and add the cooked pasta.
Step 8
Toss the pasta into the sauce until it’s evenly coated, serve warm and enjoy!
