Instructions

Step 1
1. Melt butter in a large skillet and olive oil. Sauté onions until tender (do not brown onions). 2. Add beef broth and sherry. Let simmer for 30 minutes. 3. Preheat oven broiler 4. Spoon into oven safe bowls, add a slice of French bread, and top with a slice of provolone cheese. 5. Place onto a cookie sheet and put into oven broiler - broil until cheese is bubbling.
