Instructions

Season the chops

Step 1
Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Sear the pork

Step 2
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tbsp of butter.
Step 3
Sear pork chops in a single layer, 2–3 minutes per side or until just cooked through. Remove to a plate and keep warm.

Build the sauce

Step 4
Lower heat to medium. Add another 1 tbsp of butter.
Step 5
Sauté garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
Step 6
Add chopped Peppadew peppers and sauté 1–2 minutes.
Step 7
Pour in ⅓ to ½ cup of the jar liquid — stir to deglaze and simmer for 2–4 minutes. Taste and adjust: • Add vinegar if you want more tang. • Add red pepper flakes if you want a bit more kick. • Add a final tbsp of butter if you want a silkier finish.

Finish the dish

Step 8
Return pork chops to the pan and spoon sauce over them.
Step 9
Simmer for another minute or two to warm through and meld flavors.

Serve

Step 10
Spoon the peppers and sauce over the pork chops.
Step 11
Optional garnish: fresh parsley or a grind of black pepper.
