Instructions

Step 1
Place a layer of Chile's on air fryer shelf. Don't crowd want that air to circulate. I tried this on my air fryer on roast, it didn't as well so use the air fryer mode. I put one layer in top tray and a second layer on bottom tray. The bottoms don't really roast but they are warmed up so when they get moved to the top shelf they don't need to heat up to start roasting. Set the temp to 400°, air fryer mode for 10 minutes. Don't wait to preheat just stick them in. I stop the air fryer about 20 seconds before the 5 minutes is up to flip the peppers over, otherwise the air fryer keeps trying to preheat when I close the door. Make sure to keep an eye on them everyone's air fryer is different. When their to your liking put in zip lock wrap in a towel to keep in the heat and start your next batch. I started doing them this way because I have the world's worst oven, I've had it calibrated and still it runs cold. "Bake for 30 minutes" hahaha, try an hour in mind, even with the temp increased. So this way is easier, quicker and cooler than running the oven. Oh, did I mention peeling the skin off is SO SO much easier than when I did them in the oven. Peels in nice long sheets.
