Pressure cook dhaal
Ingredients
1 cup red lentils (masoor dal), rinsed well
3 cups water (or adjust for desired thickness)
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 medium tomatoes, chopped (or 1 cup canned tomatoes)
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ginger, grated (optional)
1–2 green chilies, chopped (optional, for heat)
1 tsp cumin seeds (or ½ tsp ground cumin)
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala (or curry powder)
1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
2 tbsp oil or ghee
Fresh cilantro for garnish

👩🍳 Instructions
1. Sauté aromatics
Turn Ninja Foodi to Sauté mode.
Add oil/ghee.
Add cumin seeds, let them sizzle.
Stir in onion, garlic, ginger, and chili. Cook 2–3 minutes until softened.
2. Add spices & tomatoes
Stir in turmeric, garam masala, and salt.
Add tomatoes, cook 2 minutes until soft.
3. Add lentils & water
Add rinsed lentils and water. Stir well.
4. Pressure cook
Put the pressure lid on, set to High Pressure for 6 minutes.
Natural release for 5 minutes, then quick release.
5. Finish & serve
