Instructions
Step 1
In a bowl, mix the butter, sugar, and egg until combined with a spoon, not a whisk.
Step 2
Add flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt to another bowl and stir until combined.
Step 3
Add dry mix to the wet mix gradually, and stir til combined. Then mix in vanilla, water, and vinegar until smooth.
Step 4
Pour the batter into a prepared cake pan.
Step 5
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 6
Cool before serving. Add whatever frosting you’d like!
