Instructions
Step 1
Fry off beef mince until browned.
Step 2
Pour in wine and reduce by half.
Step 3
In a separate pan, add carrot, onion and celery, and cook until it softens.
Step 4
Add the garlic and rosemary.
Step 5
Add the tomato puree and the flour. Cook for a minute.
Step 6
Then add the beef stock and Worcester sauce.
Step 7
Add cooked beef to the pan, cover with a lid and simmer for 45 minutes.
Step 8
Boil the potatoes until tender, then leave them to steam dry before mashing.
Step 9
Add cheese, butter and nutmeg.
Step 10
Add the milk and mix really well.
Step 11
Check the mince for seasoning, then add the peas.
Step 12
Transfer the beef mixture into a baking dish.
Step 13
Spoon the mash on top and smooth.
Step 14
Top with butter and cheese.
Step 15
Bake for 30 minutes at 200°C.
