Ingredients

For Filling
1 lbhamburger
½ cupcarrots
½ cuppeas
1yellow onion
medium
2cloves garlic
1 tsprosemary
1 tspthyme
1 Tbspitalian parsley
1 Tbspbutter
1 cupchicken broth
2 pouchDemi glace
1 packetbrown gravy mix
salt
to taste

Instructions
For Filling
Step 1
Brown hamburger meat and remove from pan
Step 2
Add butter and carrots to the pan. Cook on medium for 3 minutes. Add onion and garlic. Cook another 3-5 minutes until soft. Add frozen peas cook until warm.
Step 3
Place hamburger back in pan with carrot mixture. Add in fresh, chopped herbs and broth.
Step 4
In another container, mix up 1 Demi glace concentrate pouch with 1/4 cup of water. Add to filling in pan and allow to simmer 5-10 minutes.
Step 5
Add in brown gravy mix to thicken. Should be slightly runny still- not as thick as gravy. Salt to taste
For Potato Crust
Step 6
Peel, chop and boil 3-4 large potatoes
Step 7
Drain and mash potatoes with butter and milk
Step 8
Salt to taste

Add in lightly beaten egg and additional milk if needed.
Put It Together
Step 10
Place hamburger mixture in 8x8 dish
Step 11
Spread potatoes over the top, careful to not sink them into the mixture. They should sit on top. Potatoes should be no more than 1inch thick (you may have extra).
Step 12
Bake at 435 degrees (regular oven, not convection) for 30 minutes or until potatoes have browned
Step 13
Make Demi glace concentrate pouch as directed with 2 TBS of water and drizzle over the top before serving.
