Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the liver by trimming and cutting it into very thin slices.
Step 2
Soak the liver (optional): For a milder flavor, place the liver pieces in a bowl and cover them with milk or buttermilk. Refrigerate for 30–60 minutes, then drain and pat dry with paper towels.
Step 3
Combine the Apple Cider vinegar, crushed garlic, bay leaves, onion powder, and pepper in a non-reactive dish. Mix well.
Step 4
Add the liver slices, ensuring they are fully covered by the marinade.
Step 5
Cover and chill in the refrigerator overnight, or for at least 1 hour if you're in a rush.
Step 6
Cook the liver by frying it quickly in a pan with some fat, then adding the reduced marinade to create a delicious sauce.
