Bengali Beef Bhuna
5 steps
Prep:10minCook:50min
A rich, dry, and aromatic Bengali-style beef bhuna made with minimal ingredients. The beef is slow-cooked until tender and coated in a thick, spicy masala. It’s bold, flavourful, and high in protein — a healthy choice when served with brown rice or salad

Instructions
Step 1
Heat oil in a pan
Step 2
Add sliced onions and fry until deep golden brown.
Step 3
Add ginger-garlic paste, pinch of salt, red chilli powder, and cumin powder. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Step 4
Add beef pieces and stir well to coat with the spices.
Step 5
Cover and cook on low heat for 40–50 minutes, stirring occasionally. The beef will release its own liquid — cook until the oil separates and the masala becomes thick and dry.
