Instructions

Step 1
Toast pine nuts in clean pan without any oil until lightly golden. Take them out of pan and set aside to cool.

Pick out all basil leaves and wash throughly.
Step 3
In a blender, add toasted pine nuts, basil leaves, parmesan cheese, garlic, salt, pepper and 1 cup of oil and blend. Add oil gradually and keep blending until every thing is smooth and the right consistency. (You can use a mortar and pestle if you like)
Step 4
Store pesto into a container and refrigerate if not using it.
