Instructions
Step 1
Slice 1/3 of the mushrooms and dice the rest
Step 2
In a stockpot, set the temperature to medium and place the butter in the pan.
Step 3
When butter has melted and stopped foaming, add onions and sugar. Sauté until onions are translucent.
Step 4
Add mushrooms and sauté for five minutes.
Step 5
Add the flour and stir in until smooth. Cook until slightly browned.
Step 6
Slowly incorporate and whisk the chicken broth into the flour mixture.
Step 7
Add remaining ingredients and bring pot to a boil. Reduce temrature to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
