Ingredients
20 servings
Cookies
3 cupFlour
1 cupsugar
1 tspbaking soda
½ tspsalt
1 cupshortening
2eggs
3 Tbspmilk
1 tspcream of tartar
1 tspvanilla extract
Frosting
Instructions
Step 1
Sift together the Flour, Sugar, Baking Soda, & Salt
Step 2
Mix in shortening with hands
Step 3
Beat together Eggs, Milk, Cream of Tartar, & Vanilla Extract
Step 4
Add Egg mix to Flour mix
Step 5
Roll out & cut into seasonal shapes
Step 6
Bake at 350 degrees for X minutes until puffed up slightly browned (need to confirm what to look for to confirm completion)
Step 7
While baking, mix milk, vanilla extract, & powdered sugar. Measure with heart. If runny, add powdered sugar. If thick, add milk. Optional: separate into bowls and add food coloring
Step 8
Allow cookies to cool, add frosting and decorate!
