Instructions

Step 1
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook for 10-12 minutes or until al dente.
Step 2
Meanwhile, heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and spray with cooking spray.
Step 3
Add the chopped bacon or smoked ham and cook until crispy.
Step 4
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg whites, garlic powder, cottage cheese, salt & pepper, and fat-free milk until smooth.
Step 5
Once the pasta is cooked, drain most of the water, leaving about 2 tablespoons behind.
Step 6
Add the pasta and reserved water to the pan with the bacon, then pour in the egg mixture, stirring continuously to coat the pasta.
Step 7
Turn the heat back on low and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring gently until the sauce thickens and coats the pasta.
Step 8
Serve in a big bowl and top with grated Parmesan cheese.
