Soft White Baps
9 steps
Cook:20min
I made these baps in my Panasonic Bread Machine but they could be made in a stand mixer or completely by hand. You could also use sugar instead of runny honey and butter instead of olive oil. I always add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice when making loafs or rolls now as I was recommended by Panasonic to do so to achieve a more consistent rise.

Instructions
Step 1
Add all of the ingredients to your bread machine pan, including the yeast as the machine doesn’t add it automatically as it does when using the other settings for loafs
Step 2
Set the machine to menu number 18, which is a basic dough setting and press start. Follow your own bread machine instructions if using a different model or mix and knead your dough in the way you would do so when either mixing using a stand mixer or by hand
Step 3
The cycle on my machine takes roughly 2 hours and 20 minutes. When the machine beeps press stop and remove the dough
Step 4
Shape the dough into rounds and place upon 2 separate baking trays
Step 5
Leave to rise for the second proving in a warm place for 30 to 50 minutes (when I made them mine were ready after 50 minutes)
Step 6
Set the temperature of a fan oven to 180°C.
Step 7
Place a roasting tin of cold water up to 3cm depth at the bottom of the oven
Step 8
Place the 2 baking trays in the oven and bake between 18–20 minutes until golden brown
Step 9
Once cooked remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack
