Prepare the salmon

Drain the salmon well and flake it into a large bowl. Remove skin and large bones if desired.

Add eggs, breadcrumbs, flour, chopped onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is evenly combined. The mixture should hold together but not be overly wet.

Shape the mixture into patties, about 3 inches wide. If the mixture feels too soft, let it rest for a few minutes or add a little more breadcrumbs.

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry patties for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
