1 lbground chuck
8 ozbaby bella mushrooms
sliced
1yellow onion
diced
5 clovesgarlic
minced
2 cupselbow macaroni
2 cupschicken broth
1 cupmilk
½ cupheavy cream
1 cupparmesan cheese
freshly grated
2 ozcream cheese
1 Tbspbutter
1 tspitalian seasoning
½ tsponion powder
½ tspgarlic powder
½ tspblack pepper
salt
to taste
red pepper flakes
1 tspworcestershire sauce
1 tspsoy sauce
Fresh parsley
or chives, for garnish
Instructions
Step 1
Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Transfer beef to a plate, leaving a little fat in the pan.
Step 2
Add sliced mushrooms to the pan. Cook over medium-high heat until moisture releases and mushrooms brown, about 5–7 minutes.
Step 3
Add diced onion and cook 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 4
Return the cooked beef to the pan. Add chicken broth, milk, macaroni, seasonings, and optional Worcestershire/soy sauce. Stir well.
Step 5
Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
Step 6
Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream, cream cheese (if using), Parmesan, butter (if using), and mix until smooth and creamy.
Step 7
Remove from heat and let rest 2–3 minutes to thicken. Garnish with parsley or chives if desired.
