Instructions

Step 1
Heat half of the butter in a pan and add bacon pieces and shallots. Cook until shallots are golden brown. Remove from the pan
Step 2
Add the chicken to the pan and brown on all sides. Remove from the pan
Step 3
Add the sliced mushrooms and saute until just wilted. Remove from the pan
Step 4
Add remaining butter to the pan. Melt. Add flour and cook for a couple of minutes. Add crumbled stock cubes. Slowly add wine and water. Heat and stir until sauce boils and thickens. Add herbs.
Step 5
Add chicken, onions, mushrooms and sauce into a casserole dish. Cover and cook in the oven at 160c for 45 minutes
