Instructions
Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, water, butter, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Step 2
Add your sliced apples. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 8–10 minutes.
Step 3
The apples will release their juices and the sugar will reduce into a thick, glossy syrup. If it gets too thick, add a splash of water; if too thin, simmer a minute longer.
