Instructions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 2
Cream together softened unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 3
Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 4
Whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
Step 5
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Step 6
Scoop dough into large balls, about 2-3 tablespoons each, and place on prepared baking sheets.
Step 7
Chill the dough for 15-30 minutes if you prefer thicker cookies.
Step 8
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers are still soft.
Step 9
Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack
