Matcha dough

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Step 2
Make matcha dough
In a bowl, whisk butter and sugar until smooth and slightly fluffy.Add egg and vanilla, mix until combined.Sift in flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt.Mix until no dry spots remain.
Step 3
Make chocolate dough
Repeat the same process using cocoa powder instead of matcha.Fold in chocolate or nuts.
Step 4
Combine doughs
Using a scoop, place a small portion of matcha dough on one side and chocolate dough on the other.Optionally swirl slightly for a marbled effect.
Step 5
Shape and rest
Place onto a lined baking tray with space between cookies.Chill in fridge for 30 minutes.
Step 6
Bake
Bake at 180°C for 12–15 minutes depending on preferred texture (gooey vs slightly crisp).
Step 7
Cool
Let cool on tray for at least 5 minutes before serving.
