BBQ Ribs

Low and slow BBQ ribs, good in the over but best on an offset smoker with Oak smoke

Instructions

Step 1
Setup BBQ (or oven) for 225 - 250f
Step 2
Pull the membrane off the back of the rib
Step 3
Dry with a paper towel
Step 4
Apply thin layer of yellow mustard
Step 5
Apply generous coating of dry rub all over
Step 6
Place in BBQ (or oven) on indirect heat for 3 hours
Step 7
Open every hour and spritz with apple cider vinegar
Step 8
After 3 hours you should have a decent crust or bark on them
Step 9
Remove ribs from BBQ, apply a glaze of the honey butter to front and back
Step 10
Tightly wrap in tin foil with some apple juice (50ml ish) to keep them moist.
Step 11
Put back in BBQ (or oven) for 2 hours
Step 12
Unwrap ribs … they should be falling apart now so be careful
Step 13
Apply a good coating of BBQ sauce and place back on the BBQ (or oven) for 30 mins
Step 14
Once sauce has set, repeat with a second coat of BBQ Sauce and back in again for 30 mins for the sauce to set
Step 15
Remove from BBQ and rest for 5 mins
Step 16
Slice and serve
