Instructions

Step 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Mix the flour, egg, and water together, then drop the mixture into the boiling water. Once the dumplings float to the surface, strain them, rinse them, and set them aside until ready to use.
Step 2
For the lecsó, cut the bacon into 0.5 cm strips and fry over medium heat until the fat renders, then set aside.
Step 3
In the rendered fat, sauté the finely chopped onion and sliced garlic for about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Next, add the hot and sweet peppers, cut into 2–3 cm pieces, pour in the water, and simmer the peppers until tender.
Step 5
Add the diced tomatoes and paprika, season with salt and pepper, and cook the lecsó for another 5 minutes.
