JP's Broiled Ham Steaks
I often buy ham shoulders, precooked boneless hams that are available at the
supermarket. The meat is good in sandwiches or cooked with peas or lentils (see Black-
Eyed Peas and Ham and Fricasse of Peas with Ham), and it can also be sliced into steaks.
These cook in a few minutes under the broiler and are quite flavorful. They are especially
good served with Steamed Cauliflower with Lemon Butter or Zucchini Flan, along with
potatoes.
