Fountains Stuffed Mushrooms
Tender mushroom caps filled with a creamy mix of cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, onions, bacon bits, lemon, and seasoning, baked at 400°F and broiled for a browned top.

Ingredients

8 ozcream cheese
softened
1 cupsour cream
1 cupmayonnaise
3green onions
chopped
2 Tbspbacon bits
1juice of lemon

½ tspseasoning salt
Garlic butter
1.5 lbbutter
1 cuponions
diced
1 Tbspgarlic powder
1 Tbspfresh parsley
chopped
fresh lemon
Juice of
1 ½ tspcoarse black pepper
6American cheese slices
cut in quarters
Instructions
Step 1
Remove mushroom stems (reserve for another use), wash caps and arrange on baking tray.
Step 2
Combine stuffing ingredients (except cheese slices) and mix thoroughly. Use pastry bag to fill each cap. Top each filled cap with a square of sliced cheese.
Step 3
Combine ingredients for garlic butter and mix thoroughly. Use 1 teaspoon of garlic butter between every fourth mushroom on tray.
Step 4
Set oven to 400°F and bake approximately 15 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Before removing from oven, turn on broiler to brown the tops.
Step 5
Serves 10 to 12 as an hors d'oeuvre.
