Instructions

Step 1
Combine chicken, yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin, Kashmiri chili powder, turmeric, and salt. Mix well and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook in batches until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Step 3
Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and chopped onion. Cook until the onion softens and becomes lightly browned. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until fragrant.
Step 4
Add tomato puree, Kashmiri chili powder, cumin, garam masala, and salt. Stir and cook until the sauce thickens and the oil begins to separate.
Step 5
Return the cooked chicken to the sauce. Stir well and simmer for several minutes.
Step 6
Reduce heat to low. Add cream, remaining butter, and kasuri methi. Stir gently and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Adjust seasoning.
Step 7
Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan, roti, or basmati rice.
