Instructions

Step 1
Cream butter & sugars: Beat butter and sugars in a large bowl with a standing mixer until light and fluffy.
Step 2
Add wet ingredients: Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Step 3
Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour, hot cocoa mix, salt, baking soda, and baking powder).
Step 4
Mix dough: Gradually beat the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until combined.
Step 5
Add mix-ins: Stir in chocolate chips and mallow bits.
Step 6
Chill: Cover and chill dough for at least 30 minutes and up to 24 hours.
Step 7
Prep oven & sheets: When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with silicone baking mats or parchment paper.
Step 8
Scoop: Drop 2 tablespoons of dough, 2 inches apart, onto prepared baking sheets.
Step 9
Bake: Bake 9–11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
Step 10
Cool: Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Step 11
Tips: Mini marshmallows don't work (use mallow bits). It's a dry dough, so don't freak out! DO NOT USE SUGAR-FREE HOT COCOA.
