Instructions
Step 1
In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and stir in oats. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes or until oats are tender and water is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
Step 2
Meanwhile, in a high-powered blender, puree the dates, soaking water, cherries, flax seeds, cinnamon and vanilla until very smooth. Pour into the oats about 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
Step 3
Note: If desired, top with additional chopped thawed frozen cherries.
