Ingredients

1 poundground beef

1yellow onion
large

2cloves garlic

1jalapeno
roasted

1 x 12 ozcan fire roasted tomatoes

4whole tomatoes
roasted

1 ½ cupsbeef broth

1 tablespoontomato paste

19 ozkidney beans

3 tablespoonchili powder

2 tablespooncumin

1 tablespoonbrown sugar

10 ozcan crushed tomatoes

10 ozcan tomato juice

¼ cupcheddar cheese
per serving

¼ cupsour cream
per serving

1 tablespoonsalt

1 tablespoonpepper
Instructions
Step 1
core tomatoes. cover tomatoes and jalapenos with olive oil, salt and pepper, roast in oven until done. Deseed jalapenos and small dice both the tomatoes and peppers, set aside
Step 2
Combine ground beef, chili powder and cumin,
Step 3
In a large pot, brown ground beef, onion, and garlic. Drain any fat.
Step 4
Add in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 45-60 minutes or until chili has reached desired thickness.
Step 5
garnish with sour cream and cheddar cheese
