Lasagna but with a little twist or I guess roll. These are perfect because they’re much easier to serve. They’re pre portioned and can be served almost immediately instead of having to wait for the lasagna to set like with your typical layered lasagna.

Step 1
Start off by preheating your oven to 375° and then cook your pasta according to package. Once the pasta is finished cooking, save 1/4 cup of the pasta water and drain the remainder running cold water over your cooked pasta.

In a pan over medium high heat add 1 tablespoon of butter, minced garlic and diced onion and cook for 1 to 2 minutes before adding in your ground beef. Cook ground beef until done, seasoning to your liking and being sure to break the ground beef up as your cooking.

Add in your pasta sauce and reserved 1/4 cup pasta water. Bring that to a simmer and then turn the heat off. Take some of this meat sauce mixture and spread it over the bottom of your 9 x 13 casserole dish.

In a medium size bowl, mix together, 1 egg, 15oz ricotta cheese, 1/3 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, and 1/4 cup Parmesan.

On a clean surface, lay out your cooked pasta noodles and spread the cheese mixture along with noodles. Next at a heaping tablespoon of meat sauce onto the new and spread it down the entire noodles. Roll your noodles up and place them into your casserole dish.

Spread the remainder of meat sauce over top of the prepared roll ups that are in the casserole dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1 1/2 cup mozzarella over top and cover with foil. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
