Instructions

Step 1
1. Preheat the oven to 190C.

2. Unfold the puff pastry and divide it into 4 equal parts.

3. Prepare the strawberry filling by cutting the strawberries into smaller pieces. Place them in a pot along with the sugar and cornstarch. Mix well and bring to a boil. Cook until the strawberries become soft and the mixture thickens. Set it aside to cool to room temperature.

4. Spread the strawberry filling onto 2 parts of the pastry.

5. Spread Nutella onto 1 another part of the pastry.

6. Begin layering by placing strawberry filling, Nutella, strawberry filling, and finally, cover it with the remaining pastry part.

7. Cut the assembled pastry into 4 equal parts and then divide each part into 2.

8. Twist the pastry a few times and fold the edges.

9. Transfer the prepared swirls to a muffin tin lined with parchment paper.

10. In a small bowl, mix the egg yolk and milk to create an egg wash. Brush this mixture on top of the swirls.

11. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the swirls turn golden brown.
