Instructions
Step 1
1. Tip the flour mix into a large bowl or the bowl of a freestanding mixer. Add yeast, sugar 1 tsp fine salt. Mix together, then add the melted butter and 275ml warm water. Mix to a dough, then rest for a couple of minutes to allow it to dry out a little. Clean out the bowl, then lightly grease with a little oil. Turn the dough over in the oiled bowl until well coated. Cover with cling film and set aside somewhere warm until the dough has doubled in size.
Step 2
2. Line your largest baking sheet with parchment. Tip the dough onto your work surface and knead for 1 minute. Divide into 23 equal balls and lay out to make a Christmas tree shape
Step 3
3. Cover the tray with a sheet of oiled cling film and set aside for 60 mins. Heat oven to 200°C/180°C/gas 6.
Step 4
4. When the dough is ready, uncover and bake for 20-25 mins until golden brown. Meanwhile, make the garlic butter. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the garlic and cook for 1-2 mins until the garlic is darker (but not brown). When the bread is cooked, transfer to a platter. Stir most of the parsley into the garlic butter and brush over the bread. Garnish with parsley.
