Instructions

From whipping cream

Step 1
In mixer, mix cream on medium high until buttermilk and butter separate. About 5-8mins depending on cream.
Step 2
Separate butter from buttermilk by hand, place in separate bowl.
Step 3
Wash butter with cold water. Pour cold water onto butter then dump water out. Massage butter as you rinse, goal is to have clear water after 3-4 baths. Removing buttermilk extends the shelf life of butter tremendously.
Step 4
Put butter back into mixing bowl, mix on low, add oil and salt.
Step 5
Mix on low until desired texture. Store in airtight container in fridge. Check the next day for any moisture and drain.

From butter sticks

Step 6
set out 4 sticks unsalted butter to warm to room temperature.
Step 7
Put butter into mixing bowl, mix on low, after 3 mins add oil and salt.
Step 8
Mix on low until desired texture. Store in airtight container in fridge. Check the next day for any moisture and drain.
